Central Alberta's A.R.E.S. Team

V E 6 Z Z M , Darren Misik pictured at the Pine Lake Tornado site.Darren Misik VE6ZZM has been named by Radio Amateurs of Canada as the Emergency Coordinator for Central Alberta. Darren has been the assistant to outgoing EC Garry Jacobs VE6CIA.

Darren demonstrated his abilities at the Pine Lake Tornado operations when VE6CIA was out of town attending the Waterton International Hamfest July 14, 2000. He coordinated the amateur radio emergency response at Pine Lake for the first 72 hours.

Darren is also a member of Central Alberta Radio League and the Red Cross Emergency Response Team.
